2019 brought about many changes, in true Disney fashion. Walt Disney himself intended the parks to be in a constant state of change, declaring that that Disneyland would never be “complete” as long as there was imagination left in the world. This past year we said good-bye to the Illuminations fireworks show at Epcot after 20 years. Epcot also began a mass amount of construction for a complete overhaul of the front of the park. Magic Kingdom began construction on a small (haha) rollercoaster called Tron, to be completed in time for the 50th anniversary. Obviously we cannot forget the opening of the immersive Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the two amazing technology rides that Disney pulled together. Continue reading “What is Happening in 2020?”
Boo to You!
I know that in real life we are only going into August. The kids are not even back in school yet. However, in the Disney world – it’s time to start thinking about Halloween! Beginning in 3 weeks, on August 16th, and running through November 1st, Disney offers an after hours event all about Halloween. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a nighttime festival celebrating all things not so scary – costumes, trick or treating, Disney characters dressed up, fireworks, parades and shows. This event is absolute fun for all ages – so don’t think for a minute that it’s just for the kids.
Are Disney Dessert Parties Worth It?
We all know how frustrating it can be to find that great view of whichever park’s fireworks we happen to be at on any particular night. Unless you are willing to sacrifice several hours prior to the show, prime locations are not even an option. What you are left with is shoulder to shoulder congestion with a partial view of the fireworks…until right before when Mr 6’2″ shows up with his 6 year old on his shoulders, and manages to budge his way into a tiny air pocket right in front of you.
