One of the things I enjoy doing when I’m living in reality and not at Walt Disney World is listen to Disney focused podcasts. It allows me to keep up with the ever-changing policies and offerings from Disney so I can continue to plan my own trips, as well as those of others. Sometimes, though, it also makes me think about my own opinions on a topic. Continue reading “The Best Seats in the World”
Thoughts from a DVC Member
January 2019 marked two years since my husband and I became members of Disney’s Vacation Club. In those two year, our trips to Disney World have tripled and we still spend a lot of time trying to finagle just one more trip out of our allotted points. “Welcome Home” is a phrase that brings a smile to our faces, and occasionally tears to one of our eyes (but I won’t tell you which one of us). Our time as DVC members have also changed the way we vacation and given us some good insight to share with others who may be thinking about becoming members or curious what DVC is all about. Star Wars Land is opening – now what?
Last week, Disney dropped a bomb by announcing the opening dates for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. All Disney fans were shocked as Bob Iger publicized that the new land in WDW was debuting August 29th…about 3+ months earlier than everyone was expecting from the approximated “late fall” estimation up until this point. Epcot Flower & Garden Festival
March 6th marks the beginning of the 2019 Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot. While I do not get to go every year, unfortunately, I have been able to attend the previous two years of this amazingly beautiful celebration of Spring. Like the several other festivals Epcot offers throughout the year, Flower & Garden offers an array of dishes and beverages that enhance the highlights of this time of year. Besides the offered and expected food stands, the festival also brings with it some other opportunities that I would recommend to anyone attending. Continue reading “Epcot Flower & Garden Festival”
Romance at Disney
This past week brought Valentine’s Day. While definitely a holiday some will argue against – too commercialized, it makes single people feel less worthy, etc… – I personally do not mind it. I like chocolate. Continue reading “Romance at Disney”
Are Disney Dessert Parties Worth It?
We all know how frustrating it can be to find that great view of whichever park’s fireworks we happen to be at on any particular night. Unless you are willing to sacrifice several hours prior to the show, prime locations are not even an option. What you are left with is shoulder to shoulder congestion with a partial view of the fireworks…until right before when Mr 6’2″ shows up with his 6 year old on his shoulders, and manages to budge his way into a tiny air pocket right in front of you.

A question that comes up often is WHY would someone use a Disney Vacation Planner…aka travel agent…instead of booking their Disney vacation themselves? I have booked my own trips directly with Disney. Disney makes it very dummy-proof…if you’ve been many times and know what to expect. Continue reading “The Benefits of using a Disney Vacation Planner”
